BPC-157 5mg vs 10mg: Cost per mg, Vial Fill & Storage
Both vials hold the same compound, made and tested the same way. The real differences are how much material is in the vial, what each milligram costs, and how much of it can be used before an opened vial passes its storage window.

In short.
- Same peptide, same independent lab testing, and a COA for each lot.
- The 10mg vial costs 25% less per mg: $9.00 against $12.00 at one-time prices.
- The trade-off is timing. Once reconstituted, the whole vial is on one 30-day clock, so choose by how much material your work needs inside one window.

What's the same.
The compound does not change with the vial size. BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide (sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV) based on a sequence first described from gastric juice, which is why the literature calls it a "stable gastric pentadecapeptide". Its molecular formula is C62H98N16O22 and its molecular weight is 1419.5 g/mol.
The quality process is the same too. Every Vitaliti batch is made by solid-phase synthesis, tied to its own lot code, and tested by an independent third-party lab. The COA for your lot is available by email on request.
A 10mg vial is not a stronger product. It holds twice the material in the same form, at the same specification.
What's different: cost per mg.
The 10mg vial is $89.99 and the 5mg vial is $59.99. Divided by fill, that is $9.00 per mg against $12.00 per mg, so each milligram costs 25% less in the larger vial.
The comparison that matters most is equal material. If your work needs 10mg, one 10mg vial is $89.99 and two 5mg vials are $119.98. The larger vial saves $29.99 on the same amount of peptide.
| Material needed | Option | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 5mg | One 5mg vial | $59.99 |
| 10mg | Two 5mg vials | $119.98 |
| 10mg | One 10mg vial | $89.99 |
| 20mg | Two 10mg vials | $179.98 |
What's different: the storage window.
Cost per mg only tells half the story, because material has to be usable when you need it.
Sealed and lyophilized, both vials are stored the same way: 2–8°C, away from light. Vitaliti's stated window for a reconstituted vial is up to 30 days refrigerated. That window applies to the whole vial the moment it is reconstituted, whatever its fill.
This follows a general rule of peptide handling: the shelf life of a peptide in solution is much shorter than that of the same peptide as a lyophilized powder. Dissolving the powder starts a clock that the dry form does not have.
So the practical question is simple. Will your work use all 10mg inside one 30-day window? If yes, the 10mg vial gives you the same material for less. If not, material left in an opened 10mg vial past the window is lost, and the per-mg saving shrinks or disappears. Two 5mg vials let you open one and keep the other sealed and lyophilized until it is needed.
A worked example: if only 5mg of a 10mg vial is used within its window, the material you actually used cost $18.00 per mg, more than the 5mg vial's $12.00.
Documentation for either size.
Each vial is labelled with its lot code and expiration date. Keep that label information with your records. If you open a 10mg vial and a 5mg vial from different orders, they may come from different lots, and each lot has its own COA. Request the COA for each lot you use by emailing contact@vitalitipeptide.com.
BAC Water (10ml, bacteriostatic water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol) is sold separately for either size. First orders with code FIRST include a free BAC Water.
Which to choose.
| Choose 5mg if… | Choose 10mg if… |
|---|---|
| Your work needs 5mg or less within one 30-day window. | Your work needs more than 5mg within one 30-day window. |
| You are running a first or short study and want the smallest commitment. | You want the lowest cost per mg and will use the full vial. |
| You would rather open vials one at a time and keep the rest sealed. | You want fewer vials to track, label and document. |
| Your timeline is uncertain. | Your timeline is fixed and known. |
The line sits at 5mg per window. Above it, one 10mg vial ($89.99) costs less than two 5mg vials ($119.98) even if part of it goes unused. At or below it, the 5mg vial avoids paying for material that will pass its window.
